Major Kitchen Renovation Week 11
Well, I am very hesitant to assume items will be crossed off the To-Do list for the next week.
Last week we had planned on the electrical work to be completed and that was a bust. Don’t get me started on the cabinet handles and all their defects that had to be shipped back. Also wishing the countertops would be on was also sort of a let down.
Needless to say, what we expected to be accomplished this week was not. This has left us with a week of stand still…once again.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not angry or even that upset about it. I think I have become too accustomed to empty due dates that weirdly enough, I’m not bothered.
In remodeling you have to take the good with the bad and nothing goes as planned. Haha – so much for the six week One Room Challenge! The kitchen will be worth all the struggles in the end! I am happy with the way it is coming together and looking so far. I think with the completion being just out of reach has made it that much harder.
Now, coming up on Christmas and New Year’s does not give me much hope for accomplishment in the coming weeks. However, we are booked THIS NEXT WEEK to have the electrical and countertops fully installed. Fingers crossed! Who knows, maybe it will be a Christmas miracle!
Our kitchen will be done, when it is done.
